Bali Creative Freelancer — Stefanoes Poernomo

My name is Stefanoes Poernomo. I'm a Bali creative freelancer who came up through photography, expanded into video, taught myself WordPress and SEO because the clients I was shooting for needed websites too, and ended up building a four-discipline practice that covers the full visual pipeline — from the first still to the site it lives on.

I work under the name Stefanoes Visual. The brand is intentionally singular: one person with a broad skill set, not an agency with a rotating cast. That's a deliberate choice — it keeps the work consistent, the communication direct and the accountability clear. When you brief me, you're briefing the person who does the work.

Bali is the primary base and primary market — I know the locations, the light, the logistics and the pace. Surabaya is a regular second base for brand and event work. Editing and web projects run fully remote, so international clients work with me on the same workflow as locals — files come in, finished work goes out, no timezone friction.

The geographic range is wider than most assume from a single-city freelancer. Most of my work stays on the island — but a significant portion of editing and web clients are elsewhere in Indonesia or abroad. The Bali creative freelancer label is a geographic anchor, not a limitation: it describes where the work is rooted, not who it's available to.

You brief me, I ask what's needed to start, and the work moves on a clear timeline with agreed deliverables at each stage. No account managers, no status calls for the sake of them, no surprise scope additions.

Every project starts with a discovery stage — not a long intake form, just a conversation about what you're trying to achieve and why. That clarity upfront is what keeps the work on track and on budget: when everyone knows what done looks like before the project starts, it's rare to end up somewhere else.

Communication runs via WhatsApp, email or video call — whatever works for you. Feedback and revision rounds are structured into every project so changes happen cleanly. And timelines are set to be kept: I'd rather agree to a realistic date than promise a fast one and miss it.

Every discipline I work in shares the same underlying approach: decisions made with intent, not improvised on the spot. In photography, a shot list built from the brief so the shoot doesn't waste time. In video, a story structure agreed before the camera comes out. In web, a keyword map and URL architecture finalised before a single template is touched, so the SEO is structural, not decorative.

Technically, I shoot on a Sony A7ii with a 35mm prime, in RAW. Every image is edited in Lightroom to a consistent grade — a coherent look across the full set. Video is cut and graded in Adobe Premiere Pro, to a standard that holds across scenes shot at different times of day. For web, the stack is WordPress with Elementor Pro on a lightweight Hello Elementor theme — fast by default and SEO-ready from the first page.

The common thread is that the technical decisions serve the creative outcome — not the other way around. The camera, the editing suite, the CMS: these are tools. The brief, the story, the audience: these come first.
